A NOTE FROM PAIGE

I was born with a Port Wine Stain birthmark, and for much of my childhood, I rarely saw anyone who looked like me represented in movies, magazines, beauty campaigns, or even children's books. Like so many people with visible differences, I learned early on that standing out often meant being stared at, questioned, or underestimated.

When I moved to Hollywood to pursue acting, those feelings only grew stronger. I was told I was "too distracting for the background" and that casting directors "just didn't know where to put me." After hearing "no" enough times, I realized I could keep waiting for someone else to create the representation I was searching for... or I could create it myself.

I couldn't make a movie overnight, but I could take a photo. So I did.

I started photographing myself with my birthmark as the focus instead of something to hide. What began as a single creative experiment quickly became a movement. Those images grew into a global community, national beauty campaigns, film and television opportunities, speaking engagements, and ultimately, the Flawless Affect Foundation.

Today, I wear a lot of hats. I'm a producer, speaker, creator, actress, model and advocate. But no matter the project, my mission stays the same: to create the representation I wish I had growing up and help others discover that what makes them different can become one of their greatest advantages.

Whether it's through film, storytelling, beauty, education, or community, I believe real change happens when people stop trying to fit in and start embracing what makes them unforgettable.

Because the world doesn't need us to be more alike. It needs more people willing to celebrate what makes them unique.

“I've always believed the things that make us different have the power to change the world.”
